How to reach Edinburgh Tattoo and what can carry?

Edinburgh Waverley Rail Station is a short 10 minute walk from the venue and Edinburgh Bus Station is around a 15 minute walk from the venue.

What can carry?

Bags
Only small bags or backpacks of less than 20 liters are allowed. All bags brought into the location will be searched, which may result in longer waiting times.

No umbrellas
Umbrellas are not allowed to be used in the arena.

No flash photography
Photographs and videos (less than two minutes) can be taken but should not be used for commercial purposes. The use of flash equipment is expressly prohibited.

Wheelchair access
Wheelchair accessible seats are available and are shown on our seating plan.

Assistance dogs
Service dogs can be accommodated in the disabled area at the front of sections 1-5 or 12-17. Please contact the tattoo office for more information.

Parking forbidden
Parking is not available on site. The Edinburgh Council has more information on parking in the city center.

Commodity
A full range of Scottish and tattoo products is available, including DVDs, CDs, designer clothing, gifts and much more.

Visit the official store at 1 Cockburn Street. A kiosk of tattoo products is located on the esplanade of the castle during the tattoo.

No sharp objects
Sharp objects are not allowed.

Bathroom
Toilets, including accessible toilets, are available.

No glass bottles
Glass bottles are not allowed.

Clothing
We recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather conditions and bring a layer of warm, waterproof clothing if necessary.

Hearing Difficulties
Neckloop coils for use with hearing aids fitted with a T-switch are available (subject to availability). This equipment must be reserved in advance by contacting the tattoo office.

No alcohol
Do not bring alcohol to the site.

Deficient Eyesight
Before each audio performance described, a tactile tour will be available where your descriptor will give a full account of the costumes and accessories to which you will be presented and how they will appear in the performance.
