In 2020, Edinburgh Military Tattoo is just
closer to its 70th birthday that’s are celebrating in August. The Royal

in 1950 and has since captivated the public, with full performances over the
past 20 years. And, despite the unpredictable Scottish weather, no performance
has ever been canceled.
Each Edinburgh Military tattoo is different from the
previous year - that's what makes the performances so special. The tattoo is so
popular that over 14 million people attended it - with an annual audience of
around 220,000 people.
This unique event draws crowds and artists from
around the world, with massive pipes and drums, military marching bands, demo
teams, dancers and the haunting Lone Piper lament against the magnificent
backdrop of Edinburgh Castle.
The Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which is once again
preparing to set up its stand on the esplanade under the impressive decor of
Edinburgh Castle, presents a world-renowned design spectacle. It presents the
best military musicians from around the world.
A favorite with international audiences and artists,
artists from over 40 countries will be presented, with a large portion of its
200,000 spectators coming from abroad to see the tattoo show.
