Top Secret band has their unique Drumming
style. They have roots in the ironic drumming traditions of the band’s home
city which is located in Basel, Switzerland which is identified for its annual
carnival that called Fasnacht. The amazing thing of that city is that it has
over 3,000 active drummers any time. These drummers show their talent in
traditional events like Fasnacht, the Vogel Gryff and Charivari. These drummers
also performed in some parades related with the city’s guild. Basel drumming is
actually derived from military drumming drills of Swiss soldiers of middle ages.
Top Secret follows by the military nature of Basel drumming in many ways but
much different in many respects. Top Secrets Drum Corps members belongs to loyal
college students with different day jobs, bankers, civil servants and factory
workers etc. they devoted their extra time to practice nearly every day of the
year and due to different nature of work, its membership changes frequently.
