Officially Edinburgh Military Tattoo starts in 1950 in which eight items included in the program and it attracted 6,000 views which was seated around the path of north, south and east sides of Edinburgh Castle on simple benches with supported structures. In 2000, Edinburgh Military Tattoo visits New Zealand as part of the Tattoo’s 50th anniversary ceremony and from then, Edinburgh Military Tattoo toured to foreign countries included tour of Australia in 2005 and in 2010 at Sydney Football Stadium for its 60th anniversary ceremony celebrations. In 2016 Edinburgh Military Tattoo toured Wellington, city of New Zealand after 16 years and Melbourne, city of Australia after 6 years. Many bands within country and overseas participated in Edinburgh Military Tattoo. One of the most popular band, The Bonnie Lass o’ Fyvie also performed in 2007 at the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. It broadcasted in 30 countries and over 100 million people see the event live on television worldwide.
