Since its success in 2003, Top Secret has been invited to return to Edinburgh in 2006 with a new routine. They were invited a third time in 2009 and again in 2012, 2015 and 2018.
Under the direction of Erik Julliard, the group is
also responsible for the founding of the Basel Tattoo, a military tattoo parlor
similar to the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is now held annually in Basel.
Since its performance in 2003 in Edinburgh, Top
Secret has enjoyed worldwide success. They performed on various sites in
Europe, the United States, Australia and at the 2008 South African Tattoo which
was held from September 11 to 14, 2008. In 2011, they played at the Quebec
Military Tattoo.
They are the subject of a documentary film from
Swiss television which traces their rise to the Royal Edinburgh Military
Tattoo. A feature film based on the Edinburgh effort is currently being
prepared with Insert Films, Switzerland.
Top Secret made an appearance on an episode of the
2014 Saturday night take-out series of Ant and Dec, as an act for the show
"End of the Show".
In their routine, the presenters of shows Ant and
Dec joined them as drummers, inverted versions of the color of the drummers'
jackets (Ant and Dec wore white; drummers always wear black).
The routine included the ever-present duel of
drummers, juggling with the stick and the routine with the stick of fire.
A Top Secret Drum Corps drum loop is very present on
the British electronic music group The Prodigy's, in 2015, The Day Is My Enemy,
which also became the title of the album released the same year.
Prodigy founder and producer Liam Howlett is
reportedly a big fan of the Top Secret Drum Corps and has asked permission to
record a drum section for use on the band's album.
In May 2016, Top Secret Drum Corps offered one of
the performances to celebrate the 90th birthday of British Queen Elizabeth II.
