Andre Rieu.
In October 2019, the Tattoo marked its return to
Australia with great style, with the biggest cast in its history of 69 years.
The show brought together more than 1,500 artists from around the world,
including the Cook Islands, Samoa, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland,
Indonesia, Australia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, New Zealand,
Vanuatu, Fiji and Tonga.
The theme - "At All Points of the Compass"

and art and the constellation of the Southern Cross, used by travelers to
navigate the southern hemisphere.
Through their colorful performances, each act led
audiences to tour Australia, while celebrating the traditions and cultures of
all the participating nations.
Speaking about the success of the show and the DVD,
the CEO and producer of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Brigadier David
Allfrey, said: Sydney was a truly exceptional city in which to organize this
historic tattoo show.
Everything about this production has been
extraordinary and we are absolutely delighted that the Australian public
continues to enjoy the spectacular at home.
We were very privileged to have used one of the most
emblematic sites in the world and to work with incredible partners, including
the Australian Defense Force, Seven West Media, the Michael Cassel Group, the
ABC and many Australian technical and logistics specialists. We were
overwhelmed by the warm reaction from the Australian public. "
Hugh Robertson, director of ABC Classic and Jazz,
added: "We have been working with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo for
many years to release their Edinburgh shows on DVD and CD, but it has been very
special to work with them on their back to Australia.
The show was extremely well received by Australian
audiences - both in live performances and on TV shows - and now this positive
reaction is reflected in sales of DVDs and CDs.
"We are delighted that the sales have gone so well, and as we enter the Christmas and New Year period, we expect these numbers to continue to grow as the Australian public continues to bring the Tattoo to the House."
The Tattoo has returned to Australia with its
production partners, Seven West Media and Michael Cassel Group, as part of its
ambitious growth strategy which includes doubling its turnover to £ 20 million
from here 2025, as well as signposted overseas tours.
